Senior Tyler Stevens gave up one hit with five strikeouts in two innings to earn the win as Shades Valley defeated Leeds 9-6 in the first round of the Leeds Preseason Tournament.

The Mounties (1-0) scored four runs in the top of the seventh inning to retake the lead after Leeds gained a 6-4 advantage with three runs in the bottom of the fifth. Stevens also had a fourth-inning triple as Donovan Williams, Anthony James, Anthony Cornwell and Tequan Goliday each singled.
