Del Wilson

Del Wilson is the Irondale Public Library’s Director. Originally from Jacksonville, AL, she grew up in Corinth and Jackson, MS.A graduate of Mississippi State University, she also has a Master’s degree in Library Studies from the University of Alabama. Our library is one of the founding members of the Public Libraries in Jefferson County Cooperative. Del serves on the Board of Directors for this organization. Having worked at the Irondale Library for many years, Del enjoys the people and community of Irondale. The Irondale Public Library was organized over 70 years ago and is part of the great services offered to the people of Irondale, AL.

 

Tamara Hue Tackett

Tamara Tackett joined the Irondale Public Library in 2014 and has been the associate director since 2022. Originally from Hixson, Tennessee, she is a graduate of Tennessee Tech and has a Masters of Science in Library Science from the University of Kentucky. Tamara is active in the Jefferson County Public Library Association, where she has held leadership positions in circulation and youth services. Tamara’s favorite part of her work is getting to know and serve the Irondale community.
