BIRMINGHAM, Alabama –Hoover Crown Automobile Co. and Mercedes-Benz USA have settled the lawsuit Crown had filed last year seeking to stop Mercedes from granting a new dealership in Irondale to University of Alabama football coach Nick Saban and his business partner.

The settlement, which attorneys say is confidential, means that a trial set to begin Nov. 3, the week prior to Alabama’s football game against rival LSU, won’t happen.

Attorneys would not comment on terms of the settlement or what, if anything, it might mean to the proposed Irondale project. But Irondale’s mayor says today that while he doesn’t have it in writing yet, the project is still on and planning is underway for a road to the new dealership. Please click here for full article.
