IRONDALE, Alabama – Rashad Louie connected with Keith Mixon on a 68-yard scoring pass on fourth-and 13 with 3:08 remaining to rally Shades Valley to a 37-35 victory over visiting Florence in the season opener for two of the top-ranked Class 6A teams in the state.

Louie threw for a pair of touchdowns and ran for two, and Mixon caught two touchdown passes and also rushed for a score for the third-ranked Mounties (1-0), who led 24-14 at the half but trailed 35-31 after Roland Adams scored on 24-yard run for the sixth-ranked Falcons (0-1).

Mixon had seven catches for 159 yards with scoring nabs of 68 and 9 yards, but he struggled in the running game, gaining just 19 yards on 11 carries.
