Mayor’s Welcome

Greetings,

Welcome to the City of Fayetteville website, where you will find a vast array of information about City services that are provided each day to the 200,000 citizens of Fayetteville. I hope that the City website serves as a great resource to better connect you with one of our departments. Whether you are a resident, a business owner, or simply seeking contact information about City Administration or the City Council, you will find a wealth of tools on the website.

If you are new to Fayetteville or researching a move to our city, you will be delighted to know several great facts about our community. Fayetteville has won the All-America City Award three times, been named America’s most pro-military town by Time magazine, been deemed one of America’s most patriotic communities by Peter Greenberg of Newsmax magazine, and been heralded as the best performing housing market in the nation by Good Morning America, Parade magazine and Zillow.com.

In addition, the Daily Beast selected Fayetteville as the number one market in the country for recent college graduates, the third best job market in the country by Manpower, Inc., the second highest per capita income in N.C. by the Bureau of Economic Analysis, and America’s seventh strongest building market by Business Week.

And I can’t fail to mention the crucial role Fayetteville serves for America, being located next door to Fort Bragg. As home to the U.S. Army Forces Command and Reserve Command, as well as our country’s rapid deployment forces (Fort Bragg’s 18th Airborne Corps, Joint Special Operations Command, U.S. Army Special Operations Command and 82nd Airborne Division), we are proud to say we watch over those who watch over us. As Gen. Hugh Shelton, former Joint Chief of Staff, once said, “When the world dials 911, the call is answered in Fayetteville.”

We trust that the City of Fayetteville website answers your call for service and meets your needs. Should you have any questions, feel free to call my office at (910) 433-1992. I appreciate your interest in the City of Fayetteville website and hope you return here often.

May God bless you and may God continue to bless our great city.

Sincerely,
