Last week, the Irondale On The Move-Project Team hosted a special celebration for key community stakeholders who played a vital role, in the recent adoption of Irondale’s first ever comprehensive plan.
Ruffner Mountain Nature Preserve’s – Nature Center (Built by Irondale’s – Stewart-Perry Co.) was the setting for this festive event. Numerous public and elected officials were in attendance including; Irondale Mayor – Tommy Joe Alexander, Irondale City Councilors ( John London, Craig Sanderson and Bobby Joe Wilson), members of the Irondale On The Move – Advisory Team, City of Birmingham, Economic Development Director – Lisa Cooper and many other special guest.

According to Irondale On The Move – Program Director, Darryl Washington, ” This event is our way of showing gratitude to key individuals and groups who were instrumental in helping us reach this historic milestone. Now that the plan is adopted, our focus now turns to collaborative strategies and tactics needed to successful implement the plan. ”
