Personal:

Born in Birmingham, AL on December 18, 1950 to Hubert and Rubye Bearden. Married Linda Jean Barnett on March 3, 1972.  Together we have 2 children, Patrick Kelly Bearden and Connie Bearden Turner. Moved to Irondale in 1996.  Linda passed away of breast cancer on January 6, 2008. In December, 2010, the Lord brought a wonderful lady into my life.  Regina Moss Brehm and I were married on December 11, 2011.  She has three children, Jackie,Royce and Shara.  Together we have nine grandchildren (4 boys and 5 girls) that call me Papa Chewy.

Education:

Irondale Junior High School; 1960 (5th grade) – 1964 (8th grade).

Woodlawn High School; 1965-1969 (graduated). Member of the men’s singing group, The Warblers.  Jr. ROTC in which I obtained the rank of Captain, Company Commander and Battalion Adjutant.

Jefferson State Jr. College; 1965-1971 earning a degree in Business Administration and again 1979-1981 taking Computer Programming.

Employment:

1971-Present:  Washer and Refrigeration Supply.Branch Manager, Retail Manager and currently Outside Sales Manager and Salesman.

 Extra Curricular Activities:  

1994-Present: Lay Teacher and Trainer for Evangelism Explosion International.

1996-Present:  The Gideons International- numerous local camp offices and served for 13 years in several state offices.

2004: CERT (Certified Emergency Response Team)

Present-Death: Enjoy spending time with my family, especially my grandchildren.

 Religion:

Member of Crestway Baptist Church since 1990 where I have served as a Deacon.

Politics:

2008-Present:  Irondale City Councilman for District Four. Mayor Pro-Tem, Chair of the Library Committee, the Youth and Education Board & Senior Citizen Committee.

2010: The Basic Certified Municipal Official Certification.

2013: The Advanced Certified Municipal Official Certification with the Alabama League of Municipalities.

I have thoroughly enjoyed serving as your Councilman and I hope you will allow me to continue to serve the great citizens of Irondale for many years to come. Call me anytime with your concerns or questions.  I am here to serve you.
