An Evening of Interracial Conversation hosted by St. James United Methodist Church and the Over the Mountain Democrats.

June 24, 2015 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

EVENT INFORMATION:

An evening of interracial conversation hosted by St. James United Methodist Church and the Over the Mountain Democrats.

This is an evening for open discussion to foster cross-cultural understanding. Following brief informative talks by panelists, we want to hear from the audience about their life experiences with prejudice. Our hope is to help sensitize others to racial prejudice that people of color face everyday. Come to talk, to listen, and to learn from each other.

Guest Panelists:

Dr. Zac Henson, Birmingham Institute for Social Change

Marie King, Love Commandment Ministries

Avee-Ashanti Shabazz, Birmingham Black Lives Matter

Scott Douglas, Greater Birmingham Ministries
