The weather cooperated on Saturday, helping to make the 2014 Whistle Stop Festival a wonderful success. (Check out our photos here.)The vendors and food were plentiful and varied. The children’s area was not only fun – with clowns, inflatables, animals, and water balls – but also included a freeChild Identification Program, sponsored by Irondale’s own Shriner Lodge at Zamora Temple. And of course, the Whistle Stop train was in operation, giving lots of free rides to delighted kids (young and old!).

The Festival planners extended their thanks (on their Facebook page) to the city leaders who supported the 2014 event  – with special hats off to all the city employees who made this year’s Festival a safe, clean, and enjoyable place to be!
