JCIB Wins Third Consecutive “Best in State” In Verizon App Challenge

For the third year in a row, Jefferson County International Baccalaureate (JCIB) High School has a student team that has won the Best in State for the Verizon App Challenge. These students designed an app to help you identify whether your minor aches and pains can be alleviated with simple home treatment or if you need to seek professional help.  More than 1,200 app concept submissions were submitted in this highly competitive contest.

This year the Verizon App Challenge is doing something new in addition to what was done in previous years: They now have something called a “Fan Favorite” where members of the school and community can text a vote to Verizon to vote for the Fan favorite. The team that gets the most votes will receive an additional $15,000 prize, the opportunity to work with MIT experts to build its concept into a working app, and an all-expenses-paid trip to the TSA conference in Nashville, Tennessee, in June 2016.

All you need to do is text BENEFIT1 to 22333 or text BENEFIT2 to 22333

Anyone can vote. Help our team advance to the next level of competition and win money for the school. VOTE TODAY!
