IPD Beards & Badges for Charity is Back

For the second year in a row, members of the Irondale Police Department will be allowed to grow beards for three months as a charity fund raiser.  This year’s “Badges and Beards” will benefit Irondale’s own Mitchell’s Place.

Male officers who contribute at least $100 to the cause will be permitted to grow facial hair (normally against regulations) from now until the end of the year.  Female members of the department who elect to participate can wear Mitchell’s Place t-shirts and hats to work.
