DESCRIPTION:Please join us at the Irondale public library on Saturday\, May 18th at 6pm for the Irondale Committee’s first community engagement meeting. We will have a discussion about our proposed historical marker in Irondale to memorialize the lynching of William Wardley. At the event\, the Irondale community will: \n\nIntroduce the Irondale comittee\nHold a question-and-answer session to improve the historical marker projec and address community concerns\nDiscuss how we can broaden our coalition to better represent the Irondale community.\n\nThe Irondale Committee works in Partnership with the Jefferson County Memorial Project\, a grassroots coalition working to memorialize the history of racial terror victims and claim our monument from the Equal Justice Initiative’s National Memorial For Peace and Justice.
