Whistlestop Duathlon

Team-Magic will host the Whistlestop Duathlon on Saturday, March 28 in Irondale!åÊThis world-class biking and running event is part of the 2015 USAT Duathlon Race Series and this year will also serve as the Southeast USAT Duathlon Regional Championship. They’ve already received registrations from nine different states, including California!

Despite its championship status, however, Irondale and Birmingham area amateur athletes of all ages are encouraged to participate as well!åÊ Here is a schedule of events.åÊ You can register here.åÊAlthough they accept registrations on race day if the race isn’t full, you’ll want to pre-register to save a little money and to get a t-shirt!

The Whistlestop Duathlon will attract athletes from across the country, so we want to help supply the event with plenty of help.åÊ Click here for more information about volunteering.åÊ The GICC challenges its members to support the race as a volunteer on the “Irondale Chamber Crew” if you aren’t participating in an event.åÊ Just indicate you’re volunteering as part of our group, unless you represent another organization.
