The 2015 MLK Jr. Unity Breakfast was a launch pad for a community-wide dialogue project called Magic City Crossings based on the award-winning book, Some of My Best Friends Are Black, by Tanner Colby.
Community-wide discussions, led by trained facilitators, will be designed to connect people in a discussion about issues with significant racial implications.
Discussion groups have been organized in the Birmingham area between February 22 and 29, and one of them will take place at the Irondale Public Library on Monday, February 23, from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM.åÊ The event is FREE, but you need to register here.
This project is being led by REV Birmingham’s Community Action Committee, The Bethesda Life Center with support from the office of Joyce Vance, the U.S. Attorney – Northern District Alabama.
