Q. What are the Irondale Water System hours of operation?
A. The Irondale Water System Business Office operates Monday through Thursday from 7a.m. to 5p.m.

Q. To whom do you contact for water emergencies?
A. In the event of a water emergency please contact 205-951-1410 during normal business hours.  If not during normal business hours please report your issue to the Irondale Dispatch at 205-956-5990.  Please do not email from the City of Irondale Website to report emergencies due to it not being monitored 24/7.

Q. Can I have my water turned on the same day I sign up for service?
A. Anyone who signs up for service before 4p.m. will be turned on the same day.

Q. How much is the deposit?
A. Your deposit depends on the size of your meter and whether you are renting or owning.

Q. When are bills due?
A. Irondale Water System/Irondale Sanitation bills are due on the 16th of each month.

Q. When are disconnects?
A. Disconnects can occur any-time after the 16th of the month

Q. Do you take credit cards or debit cards?
A. We accept Visa, Master Card and Discover Card.  We do not accept cash.

A. No it does not.

Q. Is our water considered hard or soft?
A. The City of Irondale has moderately hard water.
