Chief McDaniel was appointed in June 2018. He began his career with the Trussville Fire Department in 2003 and served until 2007. He then served at Leeds Fire Department from 2007-2018. During his time at the Leeds Fire Department, Chief McDaniel went from a firefighter, to Lieutenant, to Captain, and eventually Assistant Chief.
He obtained a Bachelor of Fire Science Degree from Waldorf University and is currently pursing his Masters in Organizational Leadership, with a concentration in Executive Fire Service Leadership.
Chief McDaniel is a firm believer in strong customer service. He believes that the citizens and visitors of the city of Irondale are our customers, and we should do everything we can to provide the best customer service possible. This creates a strong working relationship and trust in the fire department.
